Providence St. Peter Hospital has received a $458,343 energy efficiency grant from Puget Sound Energy to recycle its boiler heat, reducing the hot air released into the atmosphere by 250 degrees.The new design captures the waste heat that vents from the boiler stack and uses it to heat the hospital and provide hot water, saving $60,000 annually in natural gas costs. …
